How to Book Your Free Trial Muay Thai Class in 3 Easy Steps

Date Published

Walking into a Muay Thai gym for the first time can feel intimidating. We get it — the heavy bags, the sound of gloves hitting pads, the athletes training hard. But here's the truth: every single person in that gym started exactly where you are right now.

At Sabai Muay Thai Kallang, we've built our entire culture around welcoming beginners. No egos, no judgment, just a supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace. And the best part? Your first trial class is completely free.

Ready to take that first step? Here's exactly how to book your free trial class in three simple steps — plus answers to the questions that might be holding you back.

Step 1: Choose Your Class Type

We offer two main paths for beginners:

Adult Beginner Classes

Perfect for complete beginners (ages 15+), fitness enthusiasts looking for a new challenge, or anyone curious about Muay Thai. You'll learn basic stance, footwork, punches, kicks, and defensive movements — all at a comfortable pace.

Kids Classes (Ages 5–14)

Designed to build confidence, discipline, and coordination in a fun, safe environment. Parents love seeing their children develop focus and respect while staying active.

Not sure which is right for you? Our team can help you decide when you reach out — just mention your goals and experience level.

Step 2: Submit Your Booking Request

Head over to our free trial booking page and fill out the quick form. We'll ask for:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Preferred class type (Adult or Kids)
  • Your preferred date and time
  • Any questions or concerns you'd like us to address

That's it. No payment required, no long-term commitment, no pressure.

Step 3: Show Up Ready to Learn

Once we receive your booking, our team will confirm your slot within 24 hours (usually much faster). Then all you need to do is show up!

Here's what to bring:

  • Comfortable workout clothes — a t-shirt and shorts or leggings work perfectly
  • A water bottle — you'll want to stay hydrated
  • A small towel — trust us on this one
  • An open mind — the most important thing you'll bring

We provide everything else: gloves, hand wraps, and any other equipment you'll need for the session. No need to invest in gear before you even know if you love it.

Let's Address Those Hesitations

We've heard these concerns hundreds of times. Here's the honest truth:

"What if I'm not fit enough?"

You don't need to be fit to start Muay Thai — you start Muay Thai to get fit. Our beginner classes are designed to meet you where you are. Can't do a push-up? No problem. Out of breath after jogging? We've got you. Our instructors will show you modifications and help you build stamina gradually. The only requirement is showing up.

"Do I need any experience?"

Absolutely not. Our trial classes are specifically for people who have never thrown a punch in their life. We'll teach you everything from the ground up — proper stance, how to make a fist, basic footwork, and your first strikes. There's zero expectation of prior knowledge.

"Will I get hit or have to spar?"

Not in your trial class, and not until you're ready. Beginner sessions focus on technique, fitness, and pad work with instructors. Sparring is introduced much later — only when you have the skills to do it safely and only if you want to. Many of our members train for years without ever sparring. This is your journey, at your pace.

"What if everyone else is more advanced?"

Beginner classes are filled with — you guessed it — beginners. You'll be training alongside other first-timers who are just as nervous and excited as you are. Our gym culture emphasizes support over competition, especially for newcomers.

"What if I feel embarrassed or out of place?"

We hear this a lot, and here's what we tell everyone: everyone in that gym remembers their first day. Our instructors are specifically trained to work with beginners, and our members actively welcome newcomers. There's no hazing, no judgment, and no egos. Just a bunch of people who love Muay Thai and want to share it with others.

What Happens After You Book?

Once you submit your booking request through our booking page, here's what to expect:

  1. Confirmation within 24 hours — We'll reach out via WhatsApp or email to confirm your slot and answer any questions.
  2. Pre-class tips — We'll send you a quick guide with what to expect, what to wear, and how to find us (we're conveniently located in Kallang).
  3. Your first class — Arrive 10–15 minutes early to meet your instructor and get oriented. The class itself runs about 60 minutes.
  4. No-pressure follow-up — After class, we'll check in to see how it went. If you loved it, we'll discuss membership options. If it wasn't for you, no hard feelings — at least you tried something new!

"The hardest part of starting Muay Thai isn't the training — it's walking through the door for the first time. Everything after that gets easier."
